New Bridal Nesting Ring Sets for the Non-traditional Bride
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, which makes me think of love, and weddings, and engagement rings and wedding bands.
But when it comes to engagement and wedding rings, not everyone is into the traditional diamond ring and matching band. Some brides want to wear something a little different that is more in tune with their own personality and unique style. And so they should, because your wedding band and engagement ring should say something about you and your unique love story.
Over the many years that I have been designing and making jewelry, the one thing brides often ask me to create is a bridal ring set that is different than the typical matching engagement ring and wedding band set. Some want it in gold, and some want it in sterling silver, and most choose a gemstone or pearl over a diamond. And I’m totally cool with that because that’s how I think too. What you wear, whether it be jewelry or clothes, should be an extension of you and who you are. Your engagement ring and wedding band should most definitely reflect you because they are meant to be worn for a lifetime, and they symbolize very special moments in your life.
This is where the idea for the new bridal nesting ring sets came from. These new ring sets are a combination of solitaire rings and curved band rings that you can find in the Ever After Bridal Collection and the Modern Victorian Collection. The best part is that they can be mixed and matched to create unique ring sets.
Who says that your engagement ring has to be set with a diamond? It can be set with a beautiful pearl, a radiant garnet, or a beautifully faceted rose cut black spinel. And your wedding band can be unique too in that it doesn’t necessarily have to be an exact match to your engagement ring. Sometimes combining a unique engagement ring and non-matching wedding band that compliments it can add an unexpected twist that gives it a unique charm.
You can mix eras, like I did in the nesting ring set below that is a combination of the Modern Victorian Dove Gray Pearl Tulip Crown Ring and the Ever After Edwardian Curved Wedding Band. They look great worn stacked together even though they don’t match because their textures and designs work well together to create a lovely yet interesting vintage-inspired bridal set.
You can see all the wedding bands and engagement rings available, as well as the new bridal nesting sets, in the Ever After Bridal Collection. And stay tuned, because in the upcoming months, I will be introducing some new ring designs that you can continue to mix and match to create your own unique bridal ring set that helps tell the world your special story.
